Islamabad, Jan 28: In the past 48 hours, the Immigration Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Karachi airport offloaded 103 passengers attempting to board flights to various destinations. Among those prevented from traveling were 28 Umrah pilgrims and 18 individuals holding work visas.

The passengers, whose travel plans were disrupted, were bound for countries including Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Cyprus, Bahrain, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and several others. In addition to the Umrah pilgrims and work visa holders, 47 passengers with visit visas and two individuals on study visas were also offloaded.

Immigration sources indicated that the offloading was part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with immigration regulations and to prevent unauthorized or fraudulent travel.
