Islamabad, Oct 22: Pakistan Embassy College Beijing Hosts Annual Students Council Investiture Ceremony. Tuesday was the annual Student Council Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Session 2024–25 at the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB).

Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan’s ambassador to China, was the chief guest at the function. In his keynote speech, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi welcomed the recently elected Student Council members and urged them to uphold the moral principles he highlighted as essential to good leadership, including honesty, accountability, compassion, and community service.

He also exhorted the pupils to make the most of this chance and make a committed contribution to their school community and beyond. Additionally, Ambassador Hashmi emphasized the importance of the Pakistan Embassy College in advancing ties between China and Pakistan, pointing out that PECB has continuously encouraged academic achievement and cross-cultural interaction since its founding.

In addition to being an academic institution, he said that the college acts as a soft ambassador for Pakistan, introducing the wider Chinese population to the culture and values of the nation.

Ambassador Hashmi expressed his happiness with the kids’ achievements and reiterated the embassy’s dedication to assisting educational programs that encourage young people to grow, develop, and take on leadership roles.

PECB Principal Ms. Shazia Amjad gave a welcome speech to kick off the ceremony, restating the organization’s dedication to developing young leaders who can positively influence society.

She underlined that PECB is still committed to giving students a setting that encourages development, leadership, and a strong sense of accountability. The elected officials also took a formal oath during the event, promising to serve their peers and respect the principles of honesty, accountability, and service.
