Islamabad, Apr 29, 2025: The Hajj journey from Pakistan has officially commenced, with the inaugural flight of the national carrier transporting 442 pilgrims from Islamabad to Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

As stated by a representative of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the first flight from Quetta is set to depart at 10 AM, bringing 170 pilgrims on their sacred journey.

The inaugural flight from Lahore will take off at 10 PM, carrying 323 pilgrims to the holy city of Madinah.

During the first phase of the Hajj operation, all flights will be directed towards Madinah. In the subsequent phase, flights will then head to Jeddah.

The “Road to Makkah” services, introduced in collaboration with the Saudi government, are operational at both Islamabad and Karachi airports.

This initiative ensures that pilgrims complete their Saudi immigration procedures in Pakistan before embarking on their flight.

PIA’s pre-Hajj flight services will continue until May 31, with the post-Hajj return flights scheduled to begin on June 10 and run through July 10.
