Islamabad, Oct 4: Pakistan Making Landmark Strides in Foreign Policy Under PM Shehbaz Sharif, Says Tarar. Attaullah Tarar, the federal minister for information, broadcasting, national heritage, and culture, stated on Friday that Pakistan has been making historic strides in foreign policy under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking at a news conference here, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim declared, “Malaysia’s visit to Pakistan was highly successful and productive as many agreements and MoUs were inked to increase cooperation and trade between the two brotherly countries.” He claimed that Pakistan and Malaysia have cordial and friendly ties, and that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim brought up trade and investment issues while in Pakistan.
In light of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, extended an invitation to the prime minister of Malaysia to visit Pakistan. Tarar announced an increase in the amount of halal meat and rice that Pakistan will sell to Malaysia; initially, 100,000 tons of rice will be shipped.
He said it was admirable that the prime minister of Malaysia had indicated that Pakistan was entitled to the implementation of UN decisions regarding the Kashmir dispute.He stated that the country’s economy was becoming better and will get more stable when international leaders visited Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s economy was improving when Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the UN General Assembly.
He claimed that in order to strengthen the economy, the administration was now concentrating on fostering trade with other nations. “The world will find Pakistan to be a great trading partner,” he continued. He said that Pakistan was honored to be the host nation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which will take place in Islamabad and be attended by twelve heads of state from different nations.
He noted that in preparation for the SCO meeting, the federal capital was being beautified. He said that since many nations were expressing favorable opinions of Pakistan, Islamabad had accomplished many significant accomplishments on the foreign policy front.
About Prime Minister’s address to the United Nations General Assembly, he stated Shehbaz Sharif, as representative of Muslim Ummah raised his voice for Palestine and Kashmir in the most effective manner. He declared that Shehbaz Sharif’s speech was among the best to have ever been delivered before the UN.

He claimed that the government’s efforts to promote economic growth had been praised by the World Bank, IMF, and both.
Tarar recollected that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had promised changes to the Federal Bureau of Revenue upon taking office in February, and that the agency was currently undergoing modernization. According to him, the government’s efforts have resulted in a doubling of the number of filers, which will contribute in raising tax revenue. Similarly, the founder chairman of PTI called for a march towards D Chowk during the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Islamabad. He claimed that Pakistan’s relations with all friendly nations suffered under the PTI government, and Islamabad was isolated on the foreign policy front. He claimed that Pakistan was honored to host the SCO meeting and that any unrest on the occasion would reflect poorly on the nation.
He added that the opposition should demonstrate on the floor of parliament. “We have to show the soft and positive identity of Pakistan to the world,” he stated. The minister stated that the opposition should recognize Pakistan’s economic progress at a time when the rest of the world was doing so.
He advised KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to travel to Peshawar and take action to lower transportation costs and the cost of necessities in the marketplace rather than marching towards Islamabad. He requested that Gandapur take action to restructure the province’s police and counterterrorism departments.
