Islamabad, Oct 22: Pakistan Post to Launch Automated System Nationwide, Revolutionizing Postal Services

By the next year, Pakistan Post automated system intends to all of its post offices across the country, including those in Karachi. “This modernization will also introduce round-the-clock services in each district of Karachi through night post offices,” said Maqsood Ahmed Baloch, Postmaster General (PMG) Karachi.

Although there are 179 post offices in Karachi, 15 smaller ones have closed because of financial difficulties. When necessary, the employees from these closed offices will be transferred to other locations.

Pakistan post, which provides services like package delivery, money orders, and urgent document dispatch, is an important organization, PMG Baloch emphasized.

The goal of the modernization project is to automate important post offices in Karachi first, with ambitions to expand the system across the country.

To ensure better public services, staff will receive training on how to operate the new technology effectively. In order to contend with private courier services, Pakistan Post is likewise changing its business plan, emphasizing revenue growth and service expansion.

In an effort to broaden its business, the postal service is also entering the e-commerce market.
