Islamabad, Oct 9: PCB Hire Former Pakistani Cricketers to Spearhead Youth Development Programs
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking for ex-cricketers to fill the position of Head of Youth Development. Among the possible choices, former Pakistan captain Azhar Ali has surfaced as a leading option.
The Head of Youth Development at PCB will be responsible for managing cricket development initiatives for players from Under-13 to Under-19.
This involves working closely with regional training centers, coaches, and cricket organizations to identify and groom upcoming talent.
A significant part of the role is to establish and sustain strong grassroots systems that support the discovery and growth of young cricketers across the country.
To ensure the role is occupied by someone with considerable experience and skill, the PCB has outlined specific requirements.
Applicants must have participated in at least 50 Test matches or One-Day Internationals and hold Level 2 coaching certification.
These standards emphasize PCB’s dedication to selecting a leader with in-depth knowledge of the sport and the ability to guide young athletes effectively.
Applications are open until October 24, and the PCB is actively encouraging eligible individuals to apply. Over the past few weeks, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has met with several former players regarding the position, reflecting the board’s proactive effort to secure the ideal candidate.
