ISLAMABAD, Oct 5: The Islamabad district administration has announced a temporary Pillion Riding Banned, effective from today until October 5, to maintain public order and ensure safety in the Federal Capital.

According to the spokesman for the ICT administration, the decision aims to prevent potential disruptions to public peace.

The ban applies to all motorcyclists in Islamabad, restricting more than one person from riding a motorcycle at any time during this period. Violators will face strict legal action.

The ban has been issued under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). Additional District Magistrate Usman Ashraf explained that this measure is necessary to prevent threats to public peace, as there are concerns that individuals riding in pairs on motorcycles could engage in activities that may endanger public safety or property.

The notification emphasized that the ban aims to provide immediate protection to the public and prevent any violent incidents.

Law enforcement agencies will closely monitor the situation, and violators will face legal consequences.

This ban will be in effect throughout the Islamabad district for the next two days, with the primary goal of maintaining order. Authorities have urged citizens to comply with these restrictions for the sake of public safety.
