Islamabad, Feb 10: President Asif Ali Zardari had a brief meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a stopover at Istanbul Airport while en route to Portugal. The Foreign Minister of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, warmly welcomed President Zardari at the airport.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed bilateral relations and other matters of mutual interest, exchanging pleasantries and strengthening ties between the two countries.President Zardari is currently traveling to Portugal to express his condolences on the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan.
