Islamabad, 24 April 2025: Islamabad United continued their dominant run in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 by comfortably defeating Multan Sultans by seven wickets in the 13th match of the tournament held at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Multan, opting to bat first, managed to post 168 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Usman Khan stood out with a determined half-century, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to offer significant resistance.

In reply, Islamabad chased down the target of 169 with ease, crossing the finish line with 17 balls to spare.

The hero of the chase was South African opener Andries Gous, who played a blistering knock of 80 not out off just 45 balls.

His innings included six boundaries and five maximums, earning him the Player of the Match award.

This win marked Islamabad’s fifth consecutive victory in the tournament, solidifying their place at the top of the points table.

With 10 points from five games and a commanding net run rate of 2.342, the defending champions look well on course for a strong finish in the group stage.

Multan’s struggles, on the other hand, continued as they suffered their fourth loss in five games.

With just two points and a net run rate of -1.764, they remain anchored to the bottom of the standings.

Karachi Kings currently occupy second place with six points, though their net run rate of -0.215 could become an issue as the competition progresses.

Lahore Qalandars sit third with four points and a healthier run rate.

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators round out the bottom half, both with two points each, but separated by net run rate and number of games played.
