Islamabad, 24 March 2025: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set for its 10th edition, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirming that the replacement draft will take place on Monday.
According to the details, the virtual session will allow franchises to adjust their squads, replacing five players who will miss part of the tournament.
Former champions Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings will name replacements for Nahid Rana (Gold category) and Litton Das (Silver category), respectively.
Additionally, Rassie van der Dussen signed by defending champions Islamabad United in the Supplementary category, and Mark Chapman and Kane Williamson, drafted by Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings, will also be partially replaced.
Peshawar Zalmi will also seek a replacement for South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch, who opted out at the last moment to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
His decision reportedly frustrated senior PCB officials, leading the board to initiate legal proceedings through his agent, citing a breach of contract.
Bosch later clarified that financial security and career growth influenced his move rather than any disregard for PSL.
The 10th PSL season begins on April 11, with Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The tournament will feature 34 matches, running until May 18.
Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 games, including the Eliminators and the final, while Rawalpindi will stage 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13.
The National Bank Stadium in Karachi and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five games.
An exhibition match is also scheduled for April 8 in Peshawar, with teams yet to be announced.
The tournament will include three double-headers, two on Saturdays and one on Labour Day (May 1), adding excitement to the league’s milestone season.
