Islamabad, May 2, 2025: Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has unveiled the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” initiative, marking a significant advancement in her goal of ensuring “Housing for All.”
This program offers free 3-marla residential plots to impoverished and homeless individuals throughout Punjab.
The project is being managed by the Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency, under the supervision of the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED).
Highlights of the Program
- Free 3-marla residential plots for eligible citizens.
- Aimed at assisting the underprivileged, homeless, and deserving individuals.
- The initial phase includes 1,892 plots across 23 housing projects.
- The launch spans 19 districts in the first phase.
Districts Included in Phase 1
The districts covered in the first phase are Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khushab, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Baha-ud-Din, Okara, Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Vehari.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a permanent resident of Punjab (based on CNIC).
- Applications are accepted only from the applicant’s home district.
- The applicant, their spouse, or dependent children must not own any property in Pakistan.
- A clean criminal history is required.
- The applicant should not have any outstanding dues with banks or financial institutions.
- All information provided must be true and accurate, as false statements will result in disqualification.
