Lahore: On May 17, Punjab’s Finance Secretary, Mujahid Sherdil, launched the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ initiative, which aims to deliver essential government services directly to citizens’ doorsteps, according to a news source.
According to the news, facilitators will help complete forms, process payments, and ensure prompt document delivery. Interested individuals can register through the ‘Dastak Facilitator Mobile App’ and must meet specific criteria. Faisal Yousaf, Chairman of PITB, emphasized rigorous training for facilitators, stating that only those scoring 70% or above will be eligible.
Citizens can book services via the mobile app, web portal, or helpline. Services are expected to start in Lahore within three to four weeks and will later expand to all districts in Punjab. Maryam Ki Dastak aims to transform public service delivery, making it accessible, efficient, and convenient for everyone.
