Islamabad, 21 Apr, 2025: The Punjab education boards have officially revised the Matric Registration Fee structure for students entering grades 9 and 10.

This newly introduced fee framework will be implemented for the academic years spanning from 2025 to 2027, impacting both public and private sector institutions across the province.

As per the updated notification, the total Matric Registration Fee has now been fixed at Rs. 2,910, reflecting an increase from the previous rate.

The updated charges encompass a variety of components, including:

  • Rs. 1,100 – Enrollment Charges
  • Rs. 630 – Application Processing Fee
  • Rs. 300 – Board Infrastructure Fund
  • Rs. 180 – Student Scholarship Contribution
  • Rs. 200 – Athletics & Sports Fee

In addition to the standard board dues, schools have been authorized to collect Rs. 500 as their institutional processing fee.

Moreover, individual schools may impose an extra charge ranging between Rs. 300 and Rs. 500 for additional services or support materials.

Followed strictly while disseminating information about student financial responsibilities to ensure accuracy and transparency.

The registration timeline for the 2025 academic session officially begins on May 29, 2025, and students enrolling within this period will not incur any late fees.

However, those submitting forms between May 30 and June 13, 2025, will be subject to an additional late fee of Rs. 600.

Eligibility criteria dictate that only students who are at least 11 years and 2 months old by August 1, 2025, will be allowed to register.

Although the process will be conducted online via the designated portal, schools are also required to provide a physical submission of the registration documents to their respective board offices.

Furthermore, submission of each student’s B-Form is mandatory as part of the registration documents. Schools have been advised to guide parents accordingly to avoid delays or disqualification.

This revision of the Matric Registration Fee is part of an overall push to streamline administrative procedures and fund necessary academic improvements across Punjab’s schooling system.
