Islamabad, Oct 14: The School Education Department (SED) Punjab has announced revised school timings for all schools across the province.

The official announcement states that classes would be held Monday through Thursday from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM. The school day runs from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM on Fridays.

The new hours for afternoon and double-shift schools are 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Fridays and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Mondays through Thursdays.

A high-level committee made up of seven members has been created by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to look into the claims of mistreatment at a private college. This is a distinct development.

This special committee will be convened by the Chief Secretary, by appointment.
The Secretaries of Home, Higher Education, Health, Special Education, and other departments are among the members.
The committee records statements from all parties involved and compiles evidence. It will evaluate the college administration’s handling of the incident as well as the police inquiry.

Within 48 hours, the Chief Minister will receive a comprehensive report from the investigative committee.
