On the directives of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali, the university successfully reclaimed its land after half a century of illegal occupation. The 12-kanal government land, adjacent to the Punjab University Health Center, had been occupied by 37 families for decades.
Officials revealed that influential employees and unrelated individuals had illegally built homes on the land. Some employees had even sold portions of the land under fraudulent agreements, granting possession to unrelated parties.

Soon after assuming office, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali took immediate notice of the illegal occupation and instructed authorities to demolish the unlawfully constructed homes without delay.
Sources indicate that Dr. Muhammad Ali disregarded influential recommendations to halt the operation and remained steadfast in reclaiming the land. Under the leadership of Director General Dr. Rehan Sadiq, the administration carried out a late-night operation to demolish the illegal structures and restore the university’s property.
