Islamabad, Aug 6: First Information Reports (FIRs) were filed on Monday by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) against representatives of two unlawful housing plans on GT Road in Gujar Khan.Team members from Mega City/Iqbal City and New Metro City were the targets of formal complaints for their unauthorized advertising through Ms. GK Mega City Developers and Ms. BSM Developers, respectively.
Legal action is being taken against illegal ads and marketing of unlicensed housing developments, according to a representative for the RDA. The owners of these schemes are served notices to stop advertising before filing formal complaints, but they don’t follow through.
Regarding the illegal social media advertisements of private housing schemes, the RDA has also written to the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi, the FIA Cyber Crime Islamabad, the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, SNGPL, the District Collector, the District Council Rawalpindi, PEMRA, and the Commissioner Islamabad. Strict measures have been mandated by RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza against unauthorized building projects, business endeavors, and housing schemes.
