Islamabad, Mar 25, 2025: The recruitment drive for government school teaching positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has attracted an overwhelming response, with 867,000 candidates vying for 16,454 vacancies across the province.

According to official data, the education department received applications from a diverse pool of candidates, including 395,000 women and 470,000 men.

Interestingly, the applicant list includes 406 PhD holders, highlighting the competitive nature of the hiring process.

Additionally, 7,161 differently abled individuals and four transgender candidates have also applied, showcasing the inclusive nature of the recruitment drive.

Authorities have reassured that the selection process will be conducted with complete transparency and strictly on merit, ensuring that the most deserving individuals secure these roles.

The large number of applicants reflects the growing demand for government jobs in the education sector and underscores the need for expanded employment opportunities.
