Islamabad: Reko Diq, The Mining Company, operated by Barrick and a joint venture with the Government of Balochistan and the Government of Pakistan, is recruiting a team of high caliber individuals for the development of its outstanding, world-class mining project the Reko Diq copper-gold mine in Balochistan.

The four posts announced are of Mine Construction Surveyor, Site Accountant, Chief Accountant and Travel Coordinator.

Mine Construction Surveyor should have a Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in construction surveying, preferably in the mining sector.

Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, Trimble Business Center, and Leica, with a strong grasp of geodesic principles and mining operations.

Skilled in analysis, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with effective communication. Responsibilities Conduct precise land surveys and establish reference points for mining site construction.

Operato advanced equipment (GPS, total stations, laser scanners) to collect and analyze geodetic data. Calculate earthworks volumes, maintain accurate as-built records, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with engineers and geologists, prepare technical reports and GIS maps, perform QA checks, and support junior staff training.

For the Site Accountant, Minimum graduate degree in Finance, Part-time CA (Chartered Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification is preferred.

At least 3 years of experience in (GL) operations or related accounting functions; Hands-on experience with financial systems and ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex financial data. Well-organized, efficient under pressure, and effective in cross-functional collaboration.

Proactive, independent, and solution oriented. Preference given to candidates with Balochistan domicile.

Responsibilities Post vendor invoices, accruals, and petty cash expenses in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Handle month-end closings, inter-company transactions, fixed asset adjustments, and depreciation runs.

Posts Announced

Support PR/PO/SES/GRN processes, prepayment bookings, and vendor payments. Review employee expenses in AppZen for policy compliance.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation. Coordinate with Supply Chain for timely documentation and corrections.

For the post of Chief Accountant, Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent); Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting concepts. Experience with SAP and/or OneStream preferred.

Minimum 8 years of accounting experience; Prior experience in capitalization of major construction projects, Site-based work experience preferred.

Experienced in SAP/OneStream, with a strong understanding of IFRS and construction project capitalization. Skilled in analysis, problem-solving, and communication, with site-based experience preferred.

Background in mining or major project industries is a plus, and preference for candidates from Balochistan.

Responsibilities Experienced in capitalizing fixed assets in collaboration with site planners and project managers. Skilled in reconciling asset registers and overseeing month-end close processes, including audits and control testing.

Proficient in preparing account reconciliations, reviewing costs, and resolving discrepancies. Knowledgeable in IFRS/GAAP, Barrick accounting policies, and maintaining compliance.

Capable of managing budgets, forecasts, and financial modeling.

Track and report capital expenditures, support project teams, and implement process improvements. Strong focus on team collaboration, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Travel Coordination

For the position of Travel Coordinator and Administration.

Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience as a Travel Coordinator, Travel Agent, or similar role.

Proficient in travel management systems and online booking tools with strong communication and customer service skills.

Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and well-versed in travel regulations, safety protocols, and visa processes. Works independently and collaboratively with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities Coordinate and book travel services including flights, hotels, and rental cars for employees, executives, and clients.

Research and negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective travel arrangements. Communicate with staff to understand travel needs and provide recommendations.

Build and maintain relationships with travel agencies and service providers to ensure quality service.

Manage travel records, expense reports, and ensure compliance with company policies. Assist travelers with changes or emergencies during trips. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance travel
coordination
