Islamabad, Aug 30: Senator Rubina Khalid, the chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), and representatives from Riphah International University convened for a crucial discussion to explore possible joint ventures that would improve public welfare and betterment.
Mr. Idrees Mian, Director General of Complimentary Initiatives; Mr. Irfan Ullah Khan, Director of Media; and Ms. Maryam Sikandar, Deputy Director of Media were among the important members of the BISP team with whom the Riphah team, headed by Mr. Muhammad Junaid Khan, comprising Mr. Mehr Ali and Mr. Waqar Khan, were having discussions.Legislator Rubina Khalid showed great interest in Riphah’s educational programs, particularly the recently established RIPHAH Institute of Hospitality and Culinary Arts (RIHCA).
She valued RIPHAH’s contribution to providing the public with chances for modern, growth-oriented learning. Establishing a solid public-private collaboration between BISP and Riphah International University was the main goal of this conference. Both sides looked into potential areas of cooperation, concentrating especially on scholarships and skill-development initiatives.
The aforementioned efforts aim to enhance the socio-economic status of BISP clients by furnishing them with vital skills and educational opportunities. Senator Rubina Khalid also suggested that recent mass communication and media graduates be hired for internships in BISP’s media division. She also recommended setting up an interuniversity graphic design competition to promote the goals of BISP.
