Islamabad, Sep 30: S K Hydro (Private) Limited Distributes Rs. 4.615 Million Grant to 12 Students under CSR Initiative. Twelve local students received grants totaling Rs 4.615 million from S K Hydro (Private) Limited as part of the company’s dedication to education and community welfare.

Twelve students receive grants totaling Rs 4.615 million from S K Hydro (Private) Limited as part of CSR. According to a news statement released here on Monday, the business celebrated the “Dreams Becoming Reality” CSR Activities Launch Ceremony at the Suki Kinari Hydropower Station building site.

At the ceremony were dignitaries such as the Deputy Commissioner of the Mansehra District, the Commissioner of the Hazara Division, representatives of the local military, and executives from the project business.

During his speech, the Commissioner of Hazara Division conveyed his sincere gratitude to S K Hydro (Private) Limited for its sustained support of local socio-economic growth and its proactive participation in social welfare programs.

He emphasized how the business supports education, builds infrastructure, offers flood assistance, and contributes to environmental conservation as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.

The Commissioner also commended the project for fostering closer ties between China and Pakistan and announced that the Suki Kinari Hydropower Station would continue to receive support from all tiers of Hazara Division administration for its building, operation, and security.

Danish Khan, Deputy General Manager of S K Hydro (Private) Limited, stated in his address that S K Hydro (Private) Limited was created expressly by Energy China for the purpose of developing, building, and managing the Suki Kinari Hydropower Station.

He went on to say that the “Dreams Becoming Reality” CSR activities encompass a wide range of CSR initiatives, such as the ongoing “Caring for Students” Fellowship Program and the construction of the regional viewing platform of the Suki Kinari Hydropower Station’s headworks, government affairs service center, healthcare center, and public restrooms in the Kaghan Region.

In the meantime, the delegation headed by the Hazara Division Commissioner toured the Suki Kinari Hydropower Station’s powerhouses, switchyards, and other places to learn about the facility’s design and functioning.

The Suki Kinari Hydropower Station is the largest hydropower station that Energy China has invested in and built abroad. Its trial operation ended on September 13, 2024. Additionally, it is one of the top priorities on the Belt and Road Initiative agenda items for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s first project list.
