Islamabad, Jan 21: Saudi Arabia has recently launched the innovative ‘Saudi Authorized Economic Operator Program’ as part of its efforts to enhance trade efficiency and elevate its position in global commerce.

The initiative involves 14 key government agencies and aims to transform business operations in the kingdom.

Led by the Saudi Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA), the program simplifies processes for exporters and importers.

ZATCA focuses on cutting bureaucracy and improving the global competitiveness of Saudi businesses.

Saudi Arabia exporter-importer program has three main categories designed to meet business community needs.

These include numerous procedural, administrative, and financial incentives that facilitate smoother and faster trade operations.

However, Logistics service providers, including shipping agents and customs brokers, receive special attention through a dedicated category to improve service efficiency.

The Saudi Authorized Economic Operator Program follows international standards set by the World Customs Organization. It secures and speeds up global market access while strengthening the logistics sector for dynamic and flexible operations.

Although, The program’s collaboration extends across various sectors, involving pivotal entities such as the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation, among others.

Additional contributors include the Saudi Ports Authority, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and ministries responsible for Energy, Interior, Commerce, Environment, Water and Agriculture, Industry and Mineral Resources, Investment, Human Resources and Social Development, Transport and Logistics, and Health.

However, The Saudi Arabia exporter-importer program will boost supply chain efficiency by promoting trade ease and business continuity.

It not only promises to expedite business processes but also ensures a highly flexible operational framework that adapts to the evolving demands of international trade and commerce.

Saudi Arabia is set to lead global logistics and trade, with 80 countries already recognizing the program.
