Islamabad, Apr 29, 2025: Saudi Arabia has revealed an ambitious vision to construct the Rise Tower, a monumental skyscraper rising to a staggering 2,000 meters in height, set to dominate the Riyadh skyline.
Upon completion, this towering structure will claim the title of the world’s tallest building, outshining Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa and the forthcoming Jeddah Tower by a vast margin.
The Rise Tower project first surfaced in December 2022 when MEED reported that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) was examining a proposal for this colossal skyscraper in the northern part of Riyadh, close to King Khalid International Airport.
The entire development area spans 18 square kilometers, with an estimated investment of $5 billion.
In August 2023, Mohammed al-Qahtani, CEO of Saudi Arabia Holding Company, officially unveiled the designs for Rise Tower.
The tower will be a key component of the expansive North Pole project, a mixed-use development covering an area of 306 square kilometers.

Design and Size: Pushing Boundaries
Rise Tower is set to soar to a height of 2,000 meters (6,562 feet), far exceeding the heights of the Burj Khalifa, which stands at 828 meters, and the Jeddah Tower, which is planned to reach 1,000 meters.
The skyscraper will feature 678 floors, making it not only the tallest but one of the most expansive vertical structures ever proposed.
The tower will stand 1,180 meters taller than the Burj Khalifa and nearly 1,000 meters taller than Jeddah Tower, setting new standards for supertall architecture.
