The Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, came to Beijing on Monday to attend the Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) 2024, which is being held from July 2–5, in the Chinese capital.
FU HaiFeng, Director of Beijing BIIT’s Digital Economy Development Center, Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, Deputy Head of Mission, and other senior representatives of the Pakistani Embassy met the minister upon his arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport.The state minister will meet representatives of Pakistani tech enterprises by visiting their booths.
Along with attending and participating in the panel discussions at the “Euro Asia Pakistan Digital Economy Forum,” the state minister will meet with the president of the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), the global vice president of NXP Semiconductors, and the Ali Baba Group.
In order to strengthen business-to-business cooperation with Chinese enterprises, she is leading a delegation of twenty IT companies from Pakistan.The goal of the 2024 Global Digital Economy Conference, which will take place in Beijing at the China National Convention Center, is to increase international collaboration in the digital economy.
