Islamabad, Sep 13:  The Sindh Government Launches Affordable Housing Project for Deserving Citizens called “Sasti Basti,” which aims to provide inexpensive accommodation to underprivileged citizens of the province, according to an ARY News report on Thursday.

The plan was introduced at the Human Settlement Authority’s annual budget 29th Governing Body meeting, which was presided over by Advisor to the Chief Minister for Human Settlement Authority, Livestock, and Fisheries, Najmi Alam.

Senior officials from Hyderabad and Sukkur, along with MPA representatives Muhammad Yusuf Baloch and Aruba Rabbani, were present at the meeting. The yearly budget was agreed during the meeting, which also went over the previous sessions’ minutes.

Najmi Alam emphasized that the “Sasti Basti” project, which focuses on building homes for the province’s impoverished population, is in line with party chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s agenda.In addition, the assembly approved the establishment of demolition teams to combat encroachments in Sindh’s slums.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz unveiled the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” initiative earlier this month with the goal of giving the province’s citizens access to inexpensive homes. Also providing an update on this project was ARY News.

CM Maryam Nawaz was recently seen by Dr. Amjad Saqib, founder and chairman of the Akhuwat Foundation, who praised her achievements in lowering energy rates and initiating the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” initiative.

Maryam Nawaz affirmed that the low-cost housing project is already underway in Punjab and commended Akhuwat’s social activities under Dr. Amjad Saqib’s direction. She stressed that the initiative will grow yearly in order to help low-income people realize their aspirations of becoming homeowners.
