Islamabad, Sep 12: In honor of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori declared that he would want to talk with the prime minister and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah about the prospect of making Rabiul Awwal 11 and 12 public holidays. 2 Holidays for Eid Milad un Nabi may be declared by Sindh Government.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he had just concluded a meeting at the Governor House reviewing Eid Milad-un-Nabi preparations when he made this comment. The objective of the conference, which was attended by religious scholars and Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, was making arrangements for processions and gatherings associated with the spiritual occasion. In addition, Governor Tessori declared that on September 17, 12th Rabiul Awwal, a public celebration would take place at the Governor House with spectacular lighting.
He added that religious scholars had suggested declaring the 11th and 12th of Rabiul Awwal as public holidays, and he planned to bring this suggestion to the prime minister’s and the chief minister of Sindh’s notice.
Maulana Kaukab Okarawi, Jameel Rathore, Shahid Ghouri, and other scholars were present at the gathering. The governor thanked the people for the opportunity to serve them and emphasized the significance of his appointment falling on the same day as the 12th Rabiul Awwal. He underlined that ignorance was eradicated from the world with the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
