Islamabad, Oct 28: Syed Naveed Qamar Calls for Joint Action to Address Climate Change. Syed Naveed Qamar, a member of the National Assembly and the president of the Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA), urged cooperation and teamwork on Monday in order to tackle global issues such as climate change.

Speaking at the 45th PGA Forum’s opening session, which was hosted by Pakistan, Naveed Qamar greeted foreign delegates and emphasized the value of lawmakers exchanging experiences in order to advance justice and the rule of law around the world.He emphasized that unity is necessary for global progress and stated that coordinated action is crucial for the welfare of humanity.

He declared, “This forum is for parliamentarians and activists who are dedicated to democracy and human rights.” “The ultimate goal of the PGA is to make this world a better, more livable place, and that is what the leaders gathered here are working toward.”

He said that the PGA is a unique organization that stands out in the world and encouraged delegates to share their accomplishments and disappointments with one another. Speaking to the Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians on the International Criminal Court (CAP-ICC), he urged open dialogue regarding the successes and difficulties of the forum.

Naveed Qamar stated, “We need to achieve a minimum agenda that can contribute to the greater good of humanity,” using his accomplishment of enacting the transgender rights bill in Pakistan as an illustration of how to translate international initiatives into local action.

In addition, he underlined the necessity of additional PGA mobilization in Asia and Europe, reminding out that climate change is an urgent problem that cannot be solved by any one nation or area acting alone. He went on to say, “Parliamentarians should have frank conversations and return to their countries with a clear action plan.”
