Islamabad, Nov 10: Thal Jeep Rally 2024 Asif Fazal Chaudhry Wins After Smog Delay

Thal Jeep Rally was reduced to 40 kilometres only while the first vehicle already crossed the finishing line.

Asif Fazal Chaudhry recently secured the second position at the seventh Thal Desert Jeep Rally in Muzaffargarh, Pakistan.

This challenging event, organized by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP), brought together 38 racers from across the country, competing on a rough 2.8-kilometer track in the Thal desert.

Nadir Khan Magsi clinched first place with a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 15 seconds,

while Chaudhry followed closely, finishing in 2 hours, 12 minutes, and 32 seconds.

Talking with newsmen, renowned racer Nadir Magsi said that “due to the worst environmental conditions, the decision to limit racing tracks was taken, and he is sorry about that.”

He said that the track was decreased but still challenging.

Earlier, thick smog and fog again disrupted the schedule of the Thal Jeep Rally.

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (TDCP) officials said that the rally was three hours behind its scheduled time at 9 am from Changa Tella.

Today is the fourth and final day of the Jeep Rally. TCDP officials said that 35 vehicles will take part in the women ‘s category, while three women will participate in 32 modifying categories of the Jeep Rally.

20 dirt bikes will participate in racing in Kot Addu. Thetariwala point is the finishing point for Dirt Bikes.

A track covering an area of 40 kilometres is prepared for dirt bikes. Jeeps and bikes will take part in Changa Manga Tella Point.

Local police and rescue teams are also present during the rally.
