Islamabad, Oct 23: Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Predicted in Northern Pakistan Today. Over the next six hours, there will be thunderstorms and rain with strong winds in some parts of northern Pakistan, according to a weather notice issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Drosh, Kalam, Buner, Shangla, Mansehra, and Balakot are among the regions that are predicted to have heavy rains. The agency has forecast comparable weather in Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan in addition to these regions.
Although the anticipated rain and thunderstorms could provide much-needed respite from the dry weather, they could also cause problems, especially in areas with mountains.
In addition, rain is predicted for the nighttime hours in Islamabad and the Potohar region, which will bring a refreshing change to the city and its environs. The weather service warned yesterday that haze would start to form in a number of Pakistani locations between mid-November and December.
The alert states that there are serious health hazards, particularly in cities with deteriorating air quality, such as Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, and Faisalabad. Asthma and other respiratory conditions are predicted to worsen due to the haze, which may also cause transport delays due to poor visibility.
