Islamabad, Feb 13: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Pakistan for a crucial two-day visit, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation consisting of ministers, senior officials, and key business leaders. His visit aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
During his stay, President Erdogan is set to engage in high-level discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. Key topics on the agenda include boosting trade relations, investment opportunities, and regional cooperation. A major highlight of his visit is the seventh session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), which he will co-chair alongside PM Shehbaz Sharif.
To further deepen economic collaboration, President Erdogan will address the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, where business leaders from both countries will explore new opportunities for trade and investment.

President Erdogan received a grand welcome upon landing at Noor Khan Airbase. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari personally greeted him, reflecting the warmth of Pakistan-Turkiye relations. A ceremonial 21-gun salute was presented in his honor, while enthusiastic schoolchildren dressed in traditional attire extended their heartfelt greetings. Adding to the grandeur, a military band played traditional melodies to mark the occasion.
As President Erdogan’s aircraft entered Pakistan’s airspace, it was escorted by the Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, offering an aerial salute as a symbol of respect and camaraderie.
This visit is expected to further cement the long-standing diplomatic and economic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye, paving the way for enhanced cooperation in multiple sectors.
