Islamabad, Aug 29: The introduction of new undergraduate degree programs was approved at the 56th academic council meeting of the University of Agriculture (UoA) Peshawar on Wednesday. The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor Emeritus Prof. Dr. Jehan Bakht.

Professors, faculty members, and elected representatives were present at the gathering. In order to improve the university’s academic offerings, the council approved a number of academic initiatives. Among these were the addition of new undergraduate degree programs, including BS Agriculture Development, BS Development Studies, BS Economics, and BS Sociology.

Prof. Dr. Jehan Bakht, vice chancellor, thanked everyone for a well-run meeting and underlined the importance of taking concrete steps to solve the university’s financial difficulties. Additionally, he exhorted university staff members to support the growth of the school, improve the curriculum, and advance measures to increase students’ capacity building.
