LAHORE – Pakistani nationals planning to work in Malaysia must obtain the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) issued by NADRA. The NICOP facilitates visa-free travel back to Pakistan for dual nationals, and a passport number is mandatory for newborns applying for NICOP if born outside Pakistan.
Applicants can acquire their NICOP through two primary channels: visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or applying online via the Pak-Identity website.

At the NRC, the application process includes:
Receiving a token.
Having your photograph captured.
Recording fingerprints and signature.
Entering required data and printing the form for review.
Receiving a printed copy of the application form.

Alternatively, you can apply for your Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) online through the Pak Identity website, which allows for direct delivery to your address.
New NICOP Fees for Malaysian Applicants – Effective May 2024
In Pakistan, the standard NICOP fee is Rs5,820, with an urgent processing option at Rs8,730 and an executive service at Rs11,640.
For online applications, the standard fee is $20, while urgent and executive processing fees are $30 and $40 respectively.
