Islamabad, Sep 12: The US embassy in Islamabad has issued a new travel advisory urging American citizens to reconsider trips to Pakistan due to increased threats of terrorism and violence.

The alert emphasized the recent assaults in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where there has been an upsurge in insurgent activity.

The warning was released in the wake of a devastating attack in which separatist terrorists killed over fifty people in Balochistan last month.

Particularly, the embassy has warned against visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Additionally, it issued a risk assessment for areas close to the Line of Control and the India-Pakistan border, where there is a chance of both military conflict and terrorism.

The advice claims that terrorist attacks frequently target public locations, including transportation hubs, marketplaces, military facilities, hospitals, schools, and tourism destinations.

Additionally, since posting critical content online may result in incarceration, American citizens have been encouraged to refrain from participating in unapproved protests and exercise caution when doing so.
