Islamabad, Aug 18: The deadline for filing Federal Excise and Sales Tax returns for the July 2024 tax period has been extended by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to August 23, 2024.
August 18, 2024 was the deadline for submitting monthly sales tax return forms. Regarding this, the FBR has sent a directive to all countywide Inland Revenue officials.The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has instructed the field formations here on Saturday. The FBR has directed that the deadline for submitting the Federal Excise Return and Sales Tax for the tax period ending in July 2024 be July 20, 2024. This is in accordance with the authority granted under sections 43 and 74 of the Federal Excise Act of 2005 and the Sales Tax Act of 1990 is moved from August 18, 2024 to August 23, 2024, according to FBR.
