Islamabad, 29 April 2025: Hania Aamir is reportedly being dropped from Sardaar Ji 3 amid backlash over the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir.

The film, which features prominent actors Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, is slated for release on June 27, 2025.

According to reports, the decision to replace Hania was taken despite her having completed all her scenes.

The move is said to have caused considerable complications for the production team, who must now reshoot key parts of the film.

The controversy emerged after the deadly Pahalgam incident, which reignited tensions between India and Pakistan.

Although Hania publicly condemned the attack in an attempt to ease public criticism, her statement failed to unite opinion.

Social media responses were deeply divided, especially in Pakistan.

A section of Pakistani users expressed approval over her reported removal, accusing the actress of putting personal ambition above national interest.

Her past Instagram content, particularly Bollywood-style dance reels, was cited as evidence of misplaced priorities.

Several critics questioned her patriotism, suggesting she had only spoken out to protect her image after the backlash.

One online user remarked that her removal was justified, claiming she had “embarrassed the nation for Bollywood.”

The Sardaar Ji series enjoys strong popularity, particularly among Punjabi-speaking audiences.

Industry insiders believe the sudden casting change could affect both the film’s production timeline and its reception.

The incident highlights the fragile space artists occupy when working across politically sensitive borders.

As cross-cultural projects become more frequent, actors like Hania Aamir continue to walk a difficult line—balancing artistic opportunity with national sentiment.

Neither the filmmakers nor Hania Aamir have officially confirmed the replacement as of yet.
