Islamabad, Dec 23: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made an unannounced visit to the 24/7 passport office in Garden Town on Saturday and directed authorities to take immediate action against agents operating in the area.

“The agent mafia has been eradicated from the Garden Town passport office, ending the overwhelming rush and providing much-needed relief to citizens from long waiting times,” the minister was informed during his visit.

While interacting with applicants at the office, the minister inquired about their experience with the passport application process. Many expressed satisfactions, noting that the office’s round-the-clock operations had significantly reduced overcrowding.

Mr. Naqvi inspected various counters, engaged with citizens, and addressed issues on the spot. However, some applicants raised concerns about the continued presence of agents in the vicinity. In response, the minister instructed the FIA to immediately launch a crackdown on these agents.
