Islamabad, Aug 25:  Krafters, a Peshawar-based company, has announced the creation of a digital “App” to inform the people about possible career options through skill development, business startup, and market linkage development.

“Krafters, which has already developed a network of over 9000 artisans, about 80 percent of whom are female, is looking to expand its scope to a wider public willing to earn skills and start home-based businesses,” stated Zahid Ali Shah, CEO of Krafters, in a press release released here on Saturday.

Zahid continued, “People will be educated on how to establish business, undertake necessary documentation, and develop linkages with relevant departments for expanding sale scope at national as well as international levels through the App, which will be developed with funding from the government under Pakistan Innovation Fund.

” Prominent instructors will offer people free advice on acquiring various skills, including as knitting, designing, baking, stitching, and embroidery, in a digital app on livelihood. IT workers will also receive training on freelancing via the app-based platform, including how to create a profile and work on Fiverr, Upwork, Remote Hub, and other platforms.

In addition to offering skill training, the app will notify users about upcoming national exhibitions where they can showcase their goods and services for purchase.

Zahid declared that vulnerable populations, such as individuals with impairments, minorities, and transgender people, will receive extra attention during training. He promised that everyone who is vulnerable in society can use the app and contact the organizers for any further technical assistance.

He explained that Krafters is an online marketplace that was established in 2017 with the intention of empowering home-based entrepreneurs to make a living and revitalizing and maintaining craft traditions.Now, though, they’ve made the decision to expand the definition of krafters to include qualified people from various industries for entrepreneurship and business establishment.

The benefiting home-based workers use Krafter’s platform to sell their items online, obtain assistance with purchasing raw materials, and enhance the quality and appearance of their artifacts to better meet consumer needs.
