Islamabad, Jan 26: The two-day Travel & Adventure Show 2025 kicked off in New York, with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) jointly setting up a Pakistan Tourism Pavilion. This pavilion was established in collaboration with the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York and featured a booth from 13 Pakistani companies, all provincial tourism departments, and PTDC.
The pavilion, under the banner of the national tourism brand “Salam Pakistan,” was inaugurated by Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, alongside the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Gulbar Khan. Also present at the inauguration were key officials including the Minister for Tourism and Law of Gilgit-Baltistan, Ghulam Muhammad, and the Minister for Planning & Development of Gilgit-Baltistan, Raja Nasir Ali Khan.

On the opening day, the Pakistan Pavilion was awarded the Best Partner Pavilion at the Travel & Adventure Show, an acknowledgment of its impactful presentation of Pakistan’s tourism offerings. Visitors were captivated by the pavilion’s display of Pakistan’s stunning tourist destinations, cultural heritage, and diverse tourism services, with particular interest shown in mountaineering, adventure tourism, and religious tourism.
The Travel & Adventure Show is one of the world’s largest and most influential tourism exhibitions, offering a unique platform for tourism organizations to connect, collaborate, and promote their services globally. Aftab Rana, Managing Director of PTDC, commended the exhibitors for their efforts in showcasing Pakistan’s tourism potential on such a prominent stage.
