Islamabad, April 5, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that complete Urdu commentary will be available for all matches of PSL 10. 

It will be the first time in history that cricket fans will enjoy Urdu commentary in one of the biggest cricket festivals.

The new season is scheduled to begin on April 11, 2025, with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The tournament will feature six teams competing in 34 matches over five weeks, culminating in the final on May 18 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The iconic venue is set to host 13 matches, including both eliminators and the grand finale.

In a press release, the PCB stated that fans will now be able to enjoy the league’s action in the country’s national language throughout the competition.

The board said the decision aims to make broadcasts more relatable and engaging for audiences across Pakistan.

Broadcast details and commentary panels for both English and Urdu will be announced closer to the event.

Salman Naseer, the Chief Executive Officer of the PSL, termed the move a significant milestone for the league.

He noted that providing full-match Urdu commentary would bring the excitement of PSL closer to local fans and make the tournament more inclusive.

He highlighted that cricket has always played a unifying role in Pakistan, and this step would further enhance that bond.

Naseer added that the Urdu commentary feed had long been anticipated by fans and expressed enthusiasm over finally delivering on that demand.

The initiative is seen as part of the broader effort to improve the viewing experience and ensure greater accessibility for audiences across different regions.

With the popularity of league continuing to rise, this move is expected to further strengthen the PSL’s connection with its local fanbase.
