Islamabad, Jan 6: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has unveiled plans to expand its operations by launching new domestic and international flight routes, starting January 2025, utilizing Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 aircraft.
New Flight Routes
- Sialkot to Bahrain: Two weekly flights starting January 20.
- Lahore to Kuwait: One weekly flight starting January 25.
- Lahore to Dammam: Two weekly flights starting January 22.
- Faisalabad to Jeddah: One weekly flight starting January 20.
- Peshawar to Karachi: One weekly flight starting January 25.
- Sialkot to Doha: Weekly flights starting January 21.
Fleet Expansion
- PIA aims to increase its operational fleet from 16 to 24 aircraft in six months, activating grounded Boeing 777 and Airbus aircraft.
- Currently, 19 of 34 aircraft are active, with plans to activate the entire fleet in 2025.
- Boeing 777 aircraft will be used for European operations.
