According to the PMO statement, the two sides agreed that a Qatari investment delegation would arrive in Pakistan immediately after Eid to advance discussions on investment opportunities.
Previously, in November 2024, the federal government announced that Qatar had pledged a $3 billion investment across multiple sectors in Pakistan.
This upcoming visit is expected to expedite progress on these commitments and explore new avenues of economic collaboration.
During the conversation, PM Shehbaz Sharif also reflected on his visit to Doha last October and extended gratitude to the Amir and Sheikha Al Mayassa for organizing the Manzar cultural exhibition, which was inaugurated in his presence.
He further proposed hosting a similar exhibition in Lahore, an idea that Qatar’s Amir welcomed and agreed to support.
Additionally, the two leaders discussed regional developments, with PM Shehbaz Sharif acknowledging Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in fostering peace, particularly in Gaza.
Concluding the conversation, the prime minister renewed his invitation for Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience, aiming to further strengthen bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
