Islamabad, Sep8: Great fervor and passion, the students of Rawalpindi Medical University’s (RMU) physiotherapy department observed World Physiotherapy Day. Every year on September 8, the world observes World Physiotherapy Day. This year’s World PT Day is centered around low back pain (LBP) and the function of physical therapy in both treating and preventing it.
Faculty members and department students attended a celebration that the students of the department threw at Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi to commemorate the event. The students pledged to uphold the tradition of physical therapy and increase treatment accessibility and affordability for the general public on this momentous occasion.
Experts who spoke during the event emphasized the value of physical therapy in contemporary medicine. They underlined that in order to give patients high-quality care, physiotherapists must stay current on the newest methods and innovations in technology. In addition, they gave the students recognition for their work in planning the event and urged them to keep pushing themselves to succeed.
Many staff members and students attended the event, expressing their appreciation for the organizers’ hard work.It is important to note that LBP is the primary cause of disability worldwide. In 2020, 619 million individuals or one in thirteen experienced LBP. Nearly everyone will at some point in their lives have LBP, which can occur at any age. But only a small proportion experience it becoming chronic lasting longer than three months.
