Islamabad, 23 April 2025: The resolute half-century from Usman Khan played a key role in helping Multan Sultans post a competitive total of 168/5.
This was against Islamabad United in the 13th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Opting to bat first, the Multan Sultans got off to a strong start through their opening partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Yasir Khan, which produced 51 runs.
Yasir was dismissed for a quick 29 from 17 balls, a knock that included two fours and as many sixes, bringing the partnership to an end.

After Yasir’s departure, Usman Khan joined Rizwan at the crease, and together they put on a valuable 65-run partnership, pushing the score to 116 in the 13th over.
The presence of hard-hitting batter at the crease was steady, as he helped accelerate the innings with a series of powerful shots.
However, the Multan Sultans skipper, who had been anchoring the innings, was dismissed for 36 runs off 37 balls, having hit three fours.

Shadab Khan was the bowler responsible for breaking the partnership, leaving Multan Sultans at 116/3 in the 14th over.
Despite the middle-order struggles, Usman Khan’s contribution remained crucial, and the Sultans reached a respectable total by the end of their 20 overs.
Usman’s innings proved to be the backbone of the Sultans’ batting effort, as they look to defend a competitive total against Islamabad United.
With the team in a challenging position, all eyes will now be on their bowlers to see if they can defend this target effectively.
