Islamabad, Aug 12: Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry posted on X that during a meeting between Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday, the country reaffirmed its commitment to “further” strengthen bilateral relations with Türkiye with an emphasis on trade, investment, information technology, and defense cooperation. Yilmaz is currently on a visit to Pakistan.

Ankara and Islamabad have increased bilateral trade cooperation and investment in recent years, with the goal of reaching an annual trade volume of $5 billion in the next few years. Currently, 54 Turkish companies have made $3.5 billion in investments in Pakistan.
